Jestina Doe-Anderson is a Medical Affairs Scientist with Leidos Biomedical Research Inc., which operates the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research (FNLCR), a federal national laboratory sponsored by the National Cancer Institute, part of the U.S. National Institutes of Health.  She holds a PhD in Pharmacology from Howard University and has over 25 years of clinical research and pharmaceutical development experience. Jestina has held management-level positions with UCB Biopharma, Daiichi Sankyo, and Novartis Pharmaceuticals.

Dr. Doe-Anderson played a key role in Liberia’s response to the Ebola epidemic. She worked with the Liberian government as a consultant on regulatory affairs and ethics, and later with the PREVAIL research group (the US-Liberia Ebola clinical research partnership} with a special focus on social mobilization and community engagement in infectious disease epidemics, and the ethical conduct of key clinical trials of vaccine and treatment candidates. Jestina continues to support the NIH efforts to build clinical research human resource capacity in Liberia through training and mentoring in research ethics and good clinical practices.
