Lecturer in Medical Ethics and Law, St. Georges University of London, and Honorary Lecturer, Institute of Global Health, University College London

Ayesha Ahmad specializes in research, policy, lectures in humanitarian medicine,cross-cultural mental health, and medical ethics. In particular, her work focuses onon gender-based violence and cross-cultural clinical consultations.

Dr. Ahmad also develop online and curriculum material for medical schools and global health studies on: medical ethics, mental health ethics, Islamic bioethics, and humanitarian ethics. She is a public speaker on culture and trauma, and gender based violence in disaster and conflict settings, and advises on protocols and development of Clinical Ethics Committees in hospitals and Care Homes.

Her current area of work is on mental health of refugees and women's rights.
