Dirk Lanzerath is an Executive Officer at German Reference Centre for Ethics in the Life Sciences at the University of Bonn. His main research interests fall in the areas of ethics, applied ethics and bioethics, and philosophy of biology.

Lanzareth is the Executive Manager of the DRZE and a Lecturer of Philosophy at the University of Bonn. He is a Member of the European Faculty of the Bioethics Program at the Graduate College of Union University Schenectady and Albany Medical College, NY and serves on a number of boards. He is General Secretary of the European Network of Research Ethics Committees (EUREC), a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal "Research Ethics Review", a member of the Central Ethics Committee at the German Physician Association, and a member of the Review Board of UNESCOS's Global Ethics Observatory Database (GEObs).
